Do you want to donate blood and help save the lives of members of your community?

If so, you want to be what we call a Replacement Donor. It's easy, it's safe and if you want to make a positive difference in your community, donating blood at UCLA Medical Center is a great way to do it.

Your donation of blood or platelets will go to a patient at the UCLA Medical Center who needs it. That's why you're so important to us; your donation help us keep our hospital's blood supply at a safe level for everyone.

We're a big hospital; two hospitals actually, the UCLA-Westwood and Santa Monica-UCLA, and we're home to world-renowned organ transplant programs, and leading edge hematology and oncology programs. Additionally, UCLA is a Level One Trauma Center, serving the needs of over 4 million people in western Los Angeles County. Our services and programs perform life-saving procedures every day and all of those procedures require very large amounts of blood products.

Blood is donated. Lives are saved. It's as simple and as important as that.
