The Ackerman Student Union Donor Center is conveniently located on the UCLA Campus and near the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center. In addition, this center is located near the food court and shopping areas on campus. The campus friendly donor center offers an intimate and pleasant environment where amazing acts of kindness happen each and everyday. This particular center is the smallest of the two but provides essential blood products to our hospital patients. We welcome faculty, staff, students, and visitors. Parking is available for donors at a nearby parking structure. To learn more, please read below.

Each year, thousands of generous faculty, staff and students regularly donate blood and platelets to help meet the needs of patients receiving care at UCLA Hospitals. However, only between 65-80 percent of what UCLA patients need is collected through our donor centers. Some of the reasons include the limited shelf-life of blood and platelets products and the increase in the number of transplants performed at our hospitals. Therefore, the need for blood and platelet donations at UCLA continues to grow.
Patients' lives depend on donors like you. Please consider scheduling your life-saving appointment today.
In partnership with Be The Match®, operated by the National Marrow Donor Program®, donors have the opportunity to register at the Ackerman Student Union Donor Center to be part of the largest and most diverse marrow registry in the world.
